Llandudno Junction’s new area primary school, Ysgol Awel Y Mynydd, was successfully completed and handed over ready for the new school term in September. Built by local contractor’s Read Construction, the school forms the amalgamation of two former primary schools, Ysgol Maelgwyn and Ysgol Nant y Coed.
Llion Ellis, Head Teacher commented: “We at Ysgol Awel y Mynydd are extremely pleased with our new school and all of its high-tech elements. As staff, we are especially looking forward to seeing the smile this place will put on our pupils faces. They will be extremely excited, as are we. We are also excited for the future and how Ysgol Awel Y Mynydd will be the heart of Llandudno Junction.”
