The new Life Skills Centre at Northop College was officially opened on the 3rd May 2013 by local Paralympic shot putt and discus thrower Beverley Jones. Attended by key figures from the local community, students, education officials and local politicians, the ceremony marked the opening of the new Centre which provides state of the art facilities for students on the College’s Independent Living Skills courses.
Beverley, who won a Bronze medal at London 2012, is pictured above at the Ceremony with College Principal David Jones officially cutting the ribbon.
