The new One Stop Shop at Gwynedd County Council’s offices in Caernarfon, which opens in January 2013, is the latest of the Council’s ‘Siop Gwynedd’ centres in the county. The new facilities provide local people with access to the whole range of Council services quickly and conveniently under one roof.
At the Council’s headquarters in Caernarfon, a former canteen and other surplus space was remodelled to provide a new Reception and Waiting area, a Self-Service area with access to the Council’s website and five Interview Rooms, where customers can discuss matters in private. These facilities are accessible to wheelchair users and include a new Accessible WC and a telephone booth.
The sweeping curves of the new reception desk are faced in natural ash veneer and the interior design complements Gwynedd’s corporate colours of green and red.
