The One Stop Shop in Caernarfon for Gwynedd Council provides the first point of contact for all Council residents living within the town and wider area, bringing together a range of Council services which can be accessed quickly and conveniently in one location.
Gwynedd Council provided a brief to create a “One Stop Shop” within their existing County Headquarters in Caernarfon. The Council had set aside a suite of vacated rooms on the ground floor, formerly used as the staff restaurant and kitchens.
The brief required the conversion to include 6 interview rooms, main reception, self service desk, waiting area, offices and toilets. The centre is the latest of the Council’s ‘Siop Gwynedd’ centres across the County, designed to make Council services more accessible to people within their local communities.
Construction commenced in April 2012, was handed over to the Client on the 10th December 2012, and was officially opened on the 7th January 2013.
