Development Overview
New development for Grŵp Cynefin housing association on land at the rear of the Medical Centre in Pentre Du, Betws-y-Coed supported with a housing grant from Welsh Government.
The scheme comprises 3 × 5p3b, 1 × 4p2b and 1 × 7p4b houses with secure gardens and off-street parking responding directly to the local need for high quality, affordable social rent housing. The dwellings will be a mix of off-white render finish combined with stone clad feature gables under a natural slate roof being in-keeping with the local building style.
Contractors Gareth Morris Construction Ltd will deliver the new EPC ‘A’ rated dwellings incorporating fabric first highly energy efficient construction utilising MMC timber frame, along with solar panels and an air source heat pump to minimise in-use energy bills and enables ‘low carbon living’, without the reliance on fossil fuels.
