Development Overview
This development is located in Norris Green, Liverpool on a vacant brownfield site. The development is for 8 ‘cottage style’ flats for affordable rent, designed to fit seamlessly into the existing area.
The dwellings are all comfortable two bedroom, four person apartments to Nationally Described Space Standards and are of a simple, modern design. The material palette chosen reflects the red and brown brick of the surrounding area.
The existing site is currently vulnerable to fly tipping so these proposals are designed to tackle this issue. The design will bring the site into active use and introduce passive surveillance to this area.
There is parking provision for all apartments as well as visitor spaces, and the site layout includes bin and bike storage away from street view. The landscaping scheme includes large communal gardens for residents and planting to encourage local wildlife.
