Development Overview

Ainsley Gommon Architects worked closely with the client and specialists in the field of caring for physically frail and terminally ill children to develop the brief for Hope House, which was one of the first purpose built children’s hospices.

The hospice provides respite care for children and support for their families, including 10 Children’s Bedrooms, 3 Flats for Parents, a Day and Dining Room, Music Room, Library, Physiotherapy Pool and Assisted Bathrooms.

The building is designed to provide these special facilities in a non-institutional environment.
