The development of 39 low carbon, low energy homes is a natural infill to the residential area in the centre of Alway, Newport for the Lliswerry community. The IHP4 grant funded development is now complete and has been handed over for Pobl Group. The highly sustainable scheme enables ‘low carbon living’, with combustion free homes that embrace cutting-edge energy and drainage technology. The ‘low energy’ homes are all electric with zero on-site combustion and a clear path to net zero carbon future.

The scheme was built by J.G Hale Construction with Modern Methods of Construction, using Sevenoaks Modular panelised, pre-insulated timber frame construction. These homes achieve EPC A & SAP 100 ratings, and feature ground source heat pumps, solar PV panels, storage batteries, MVHR systems and EV charging points.

The completion photographs can be compared to our 3D visuals below that were produced as part of the Planning Application.
