Works are progressing nicely on site at land off Cledford Lane, Middlewich.
In April 2014 a Gypsy, Traveller and Travelling Showpeople Site Identification Study was undertaken for Cheshire East Council. The Study indicates in Cheshire East there is a need for Gypsy and Traveller sites.
The Council is committed to taking a proactive approach in planning for future provision of sites to meet the needs of this community. Having designated sites provides certainty for everyone, not only for the benefit of the Traveller communities.
Once complete, the site will have 10no. pitches, open space for play and a new facilities block. The facilities block has been designed using shipping containers and the site is being constructed by Manchester and Cheshire Construction.
