Our latest Extra Care affordable housing scheme Pentre Canol Supported Living Village for Grŵp Cynefin in Denbigh was completed in spring 2022 and has been handed over.

The £12 million development of 52no. extra care apartments, 18no. supported living units and a four-bed community living apartment is located within the heart of Denbigh’s Conservation Area offering independent living accommodation for residents with high support needs. As well as a range of communal facilities including lounges, multi-function room, restaurant, and hairdressers. The development has been designed within a dementia friendly environment, with features to promote independent living across the range of older persons extra care housing and to support those with learning disabilities.

Working with main contractor R.L.Davies the scheme has been developed in partnership with Grŵp Cynefin and Denbighshire County Council. The works included A ‘fabric first’ approach using sustainable locally sourced and reclaimed materials, Combined Heat and Power, Solar Hot Water and fully integrated PV roof to the south facing roof elements to generate electricity for the communal areas. The BREEAM Excellent scheme has been designed with low and zero carbon technology to reduce energy demands.

We are delighted to share some completion photographs courtesy of Grŵp Cynefin and Just Imagine.

The completion photographs can be compared to our 3D visuals below that were produced as part of the Planning Application.
