Ainsley Gommon Architects

Main Contractor WRW Construction have commissioned a drone flight over the Gaer development in Newport to capture the construction progress so far. The scheme provides 39 apartments and a community hub for Pobl and Derwen Cymru, a social housing provider specialising in older people. The development is located on a steeply sloping site within an existing residential area. The drone photographs show the integrated PV roof which is currently being installed, which will provide a source of renewable electricity direct to each flat to allow the residents, who will all be over 55, to have the benefit of ‘free’ electricity.
