Llandudno Junction Primary School

Work is progressing well on site with the construction of Llandudno Junction’s new primary school, Ysgol Awel Y Mynydd. The 420 place primary school with nursery facilities, playing fields and community facilities is being built by Read Construction and is Conwy Council’s first new school under Welsh Government’s 21st Century Schools Programme.

The school comprises of two key elements, a two storey ‘Community Hub’ accommodating the main hall, admin offices and meeting rooms, connected via a single storey link corridor to a split level block providing the main teaching facilities. Having started on-site towards the end of 2015, the building is now really taking shape and the new school is due to open next year.
