The Cae Garnedd Extra Care development in Bangor has been officially opened by the Welsh First Minister Carwyn Jones, with a tree planting ceremony to mark the event.
With the first residents starting to move in from December 2014, the extra care scheme is the first of its kind in Bangor and was developed in partnership between North Wales Housing Association and Gwynedd Council. Constructed by K&C Construction, the development provides highly specified one and two bedroom flats as well as a range of communal facilities, aiding independent living for older people.
