The new Science Laboratory at West Kirby Residential School has been completed and was officially opened at a special ceremony on the 20th December 2012. The Mayor of West Kirby attended to open the facility and carried out the very first experiment in the laboratory.

West Kirby Residential School is a Special Needs School providing teaching for day and residential pupils aged between 5 and 16 with a range of complex social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. As the existing science facilities were unsuited to modern day teaching requirements, an existing underused classroom was extended and fitted out to provide a new state of the art science facility.

The new laboratory is the latest in a series of remodelling and refurbishment works that Ainsley Gommon have undertaken with the School over a 10 year period. To read more, visit our project page.
