Development Overview

Wirral Partnership Homes, worked with Liverpool Housing Trust / Vicinity acting as agents for the local authority to support the delivery of new dwellings across three sites on Wirral, and funded by the Government’s Challenge Fund.

The scheme provides high-quality housing consisting of 9 new bungalows, 6 2 and 3 bed houses and 8 flats, split over the three sites. They are all designed to integrate into the existing residential areas surrounding the sites by providing modern housing, which meets good levels of current design standards. Designed to provide sustainable qualities of living, such as, Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4, Lifetime Homes and Building for Life the properties also incorporate renewables such as PV panels on the roof. The construction method included a highly insulated timber frame and sustainable services, which helped to create the high environmental qualities.

The development is intended to fit within its surroundings, while at the same time offer a modern appearance that sits comfortably within its context. The external landscaping and planting enhances the streetscape and provides attractive private garden areas. By retaining many of the exiting mature trees the developments instantly provided an established and settled feel. These projects were delivered successfully on time and on budget.
