Development Overview
Ainsley Gommon Architects prepared a master plan and strategy for campus modernisation at the West Cheshire College Grange Campus at Ellesmere Port, identifying suitable buildings for relocation and demolition.
Following the successful conversion of an existing sports hall into an Arts Facility, the new two-storey Reception Building was constructed to replace an existing single-storey building.
The ground floor houses Reception Facilities, Coffee Bar, Student Services and a Shop, with the first floor accommodating a Learning Resource Centre and associated office space.
Following the construction of the new Reception Building, a Detailed Planning Application was made for a £7 million 5000m2 Teaching Block, including classrooms, hair and beauty salons, multimedia facilities, dance studio, support services and staff/student facilities.
